Description:
As part of Intersections, a guerilla performance took place at the site of 2055 Clark Drive near the intersection of Grandview Highway and the terminus of the SkyTrain Millenium Line. The performance site housed a former monument to Christopher Columbus with only a stark concrete structure remaining.
Brady Marks and Sarah Buchanan were joined by theremin player prOphecy sun to broadcast electronic sounds and music over a short range pirate radio signal aimed at passing cars. The music was remounted for a live audience at Western Front on Oct 29, 2009 with a slideshow of images from the performance.
Intersections was an artistic inquiry into social and economic convergences, geographic landmarks, and reminiscences about current and historical thoroughfares.
Video documentation of this event is available upon request.
